With disinformation and fake news hitting unprecedented heights in the lead-up to the U.S. presidential elections on November 5, Friedrich Moser’s documentary How To Build A Truth Engine makes for a timely watch.
Executive produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, the doc follows a crack-team of investigators from the fields of technology, journalism, folklore and neuroscience as they investigate the impact of disinformation and fake news on the human mind, and, consequentially, on humanity.
The documentary, featuring Susan Benesch, will premiere in Vienna Oct. 13 and in the UK at the Leeds International Film Festival on Nov. 4.
