DSP at RightsCon 2022

We will be hosting two sessions at RightsCon 2022, the global conference on human rights in the digital age. This year’s RightsCon, scheduled for June 6-10, is expected to bring together 8,500 participants from 150+ countries.

Disinformation and dangerous speech: a view from the front lines

This session will bring together disinformation experts from Greece, Poland, and Sri Lanka to share their own experiences debunking mis/disinformation, focusing on how such content can contribute to intergroup violence. Co-hosted by DSP and EU Disinfo Lab and featuring DSP Director of Research Cathy Buerger.

Multistakeholder collaboration on terrorism and violent extremist content (TVEC) content governance: how can working together work?

Monday, June 6th | 11:30PM CEST

This session will discuss successes, challenges, and lessons learned from the Christchurch Call, which brings together governments, tech companies, civil society, and other partners to tackle issues related to TVEC online while protecting human rights. Hosted by the Christchurch Call Advisory Network and moderated by DSP Director of Operations Tonei Glavinic (co-chair of the Advisory Network).
