Dangerous Speech Against Migrants: February Elections Brief

Throughout former President Donald Trump’s campaign for the 2024 election, he has repeatedly promised to “carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” On January 27, he added, “we have no choice.”

Since that remark, rhetoric calling for mass deportation has surged across social media, especially on Truth Social, alongside dangerous speech targeting migrants. Such speech often falsely describes all migrants as criminals, and a threat to homes and schools around the country.‍
